Late April Events To Make A Change In The World
The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without
changing our thinking.
• Earth Day at Butte College On Friday, April 21, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, CSW will have a table at one of the most sustainable community colleges in the nation, on the central lawn of the main campus, 12 miles south of Chico. Look for our new banner. (above) We will give out our educational flier graphing results of our water tests to inform friends and neighbors about those streaks in the sky, as well as handouts about our Movie Nights and our petition to local, state, federal and UN officials.
We will also have:
You are welcome to volunteer for 30 to 60 minutes to chat with visitors about the hazards of aerosol spraying and invite them to sign our petition. • March for Science Join us on Saturday, April 22 starting at 11:00 am at the Trinity Commons Lawn on Chico State campus. In Solidarity with the official March for Science in Washington DC, this is the local satellite March in Chico.
The Agenda Timetable is:
After years of being labeled "unscientific" by uninformed, biased people, Chico Sky Watch will have fliers defending our right to join in the march, which describes itself as championing "publicly communicated science as a pillar of human freedom and prosperity." Further, they assert, "We unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for science that upholds the common good and for political leaders and policy makers to enact evidence based policies in the public interest." Sounds good, doesn't it?! Volunteers Lauren and Betty would love to have your company during the march when they carry the CSW banner and hand out fliers. The plan is to hold our banner during the speeches at noon, so come and find us. If you don't see us, that could mean that march organizers biased against our Citizen Science brand of research have told us to roll up our banner. In that case, find us on 1st Street (where we cannot be ejected). It would be nice to have a group walking under our banner to prove that Chico Sky Watch has a grassroots base of support. If you want to stop aerosol spraying, this is a good time to inform your Chico neighbors about this undemocratic and risky Solar Radiation Mitigation program. • KZFR's 4th Annual Plaza Palooza
On Thursday, April 27 from 6:00 pm to 9:00, the station that brings "Democracy Now!" to Chico, and
also has many music programs, will be providing their underwriters an opportunity for community
outreach. This event is held in the downtown park plaza, is part of the Thursday Night Market
and is well-attended. Our booth is far from the stage so people can talk. Please come by and say
"Hi," and feel free to sit a while and invite people visiting our table to sign the petition.
You'll find us under our new banner.
• Chico Sky Watch Free Movie Night Also on Thursday, April 27, from 6:00 pm to 7:30, join us for out monthly movie night. For people who prefer a quieter event, our monthly movie night will be at Lauren's house, featuring these two short videos, "The Aluminization of Our Soils" (10 minutes) and "Pilots, Doctors & Scientists— the Chemtrail Truth" (15 minutes excerpted from the 3-hour hearing held by the Shasta County Board of Supervisors in 2014). The address is 1157 Oakdale Street (north of WEST 12th Street off of Park Ave. — just west of Park Avenue, two doors north of 12th, on the east side of the street, the porch light will be on).
