Report: Another Successful Endangered Species Faire!

• Two Short Videos for Your Viewing Enjoyment and Edification

CSW Film Night at the Holistic Water Store presents two short videos on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 6:00 pm. The address is 1350 Mangrove Ave. #150 (between 3rd and 5th Streets).

The first video (10-minutes) is "Installed High Pressure Continues to Evaporate Jet Stream Moisture into California". It uses NOAA satellite images to explain how the 'ridiculously resilient high pressure ridge' off the California coast is maintained, thereby preventing normal storms from making landfall.

The second video (30-minutes), "Geoengineering Dangers Discussed by Officials, Agency Scientists and other Experts", is a panel discussion filmed in Redding last fall by Dane Wigington. This event is free and open to the public.

For the 4th consecutive year, Chico Sky Watch reached out to the community with a booth at the Faire. Despite a steady drizzle early in the day, our spirits were undampened; renting a 10x10 foot tent was a life-saver. (thank you Chico Party Rentals)

Betty Credit donated flat after flat of tomato, cucumber, pepper and chard starts. Faire-goers couldn't believe their good fortune in receiving free plants for their gardens. It was an easy segue into presenting our flyer that shows the sky before and after aerosol programs. Many people signed our petition to elected officials, many eyes were opened and substantive conversations held.

Huge thanks to Marla Crites and Bill Donnelly for organizing the booth, setting up, interacting with attendees, and packing everything up at the end. Also thanks to Betty Credit and Cindy Romain for their tireless interaction with Faire-goers. Special thanks to Cindy for her photos of the event. We are grateful, too, for Robert Donnelly, Scott Murphy and others for helping with the packing up.
