April 23rd & 28th and May 7th & 19th — (Sat. & Thu.)
To be clear, GeoEngineering won't solve global warming. It's not a 'techno-fix.'
It would be enormously risky and almost certainly lead to troubling unforeseen consequences.
• In this issue:
• Important change to monthly meetings and monthly Film Nights
• Monthly Meetings Changed to Monthly Film Nights
CSW will no longer be holding monthly meetings at the Chico Public Library.
We have chosen to now have monthly Film Nights at the Holistic Water Store.
This month's CSW Film Night, which was to be on Thursday, April 28, has been rescheduled
due to the KZFR-sponsored Plaza Palooza 2016, at which CSW will have a table. (see below)
The next Film Night will be on May 19th.
• Global March Against GeoEngineering It's that time of year again. The Global March Against (Chemtrails and) GeoEngineering is on Saturday, April 23rd. Since attendance to events has been dwindling, we will conduct our usual Saturday Farmers' Market tabling from ~9:00 am to 12:00 noon, and if you would like to participate, meet us at the table at 11:00 to march around the market sidewalk displaying signs. At least stop by and check out the CSW table.

• KZFR Plaza Palooza 2016 KZFR will host 'Plaza Palooza 2016' in the Chico Downtown City Park-Plaza on Thursday, April 28 from 6 to 9 pm as part of the Thursday Night Market. They are celebrating 26 years of Community Programming. Chico Sky Watch, as an underwriter of the radio station, was invited to promote our group at the event.
As a part of the DCBA 'City Plaza Nights' event, 90.1 FM will be providing entertainment, live music,
giveaways and an evening of 'family friendly' fun. CSW will have a booth there. So come by and
support the group. This is a vital community outreach event. A way to reach, inform, educate, and
make the non-choir masses aware of the GeoEngineering issues.
• 37th Annual Endangered Species Faire The 37th Annual Endangered Species Faire will occur on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 from 11 am to 4 pm at the One Mile Picnic Area in Lower Bidwell Park. Chico Sky Watch will have a booth there again this year. This is another vital outreach event for the community. The Endangered Species Faire is a FREE event for all ages, with environmental education being offered alongside music, eco-entertainment, a rescued animal show, and a larger than life puppet parade. There will be many educational booths and food and drink. We need volunteers to help man the booth, set it up, and tear it down, and hand out our tri-fold flyers and talk to people and answer their questions. If you don't know the answer to a question, you can refer them to one of the other 'senior' volunteers. If you don't want to talk to people, you can just hand out flyers and direct questions to others. No one knows everything, and is not expected to know everything.
We primarily focus on sticking to the more mainstream message of the tri-fold flyer and not engaging in
more "fringe" theories and the like, all-the-while being polite and friendly. Many people are
already aware and most others are interested. Every year we get people coming by who we talked to the
previous year who have switched from dubious to believers. We always have a lot of fun, as well as
receiving fulfillment knowing we made a difference.
