The future begins today.
— Everyone
• Next Monthly Meeting is Wednesday, January 6th at 6:00 pm.
Please join us for the next Chico Sky Watch meeting on Wednesday, January 6 at 6:00 p.m. in the
Chico branch of the Butte County Library at 1108 Sherman Ave. corner of First Ave.
Agenda:
1. Help BAN GeoEngineering! (see below, too) Plan to attend the Event on the Capitol steps on
Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. A statewide coalition of groups similar to Chico Sky Watch (California
for Natural Skies) has planned the gathering in Sacramento. Featured as speakers are well-known
leaders of the movement (Michael Murphy, Patrick Roddie), scientists Allan Buckman and J. Marvin
Herndon, and an attorney from the legal team looking into litigation. There will also be several
bands and musical artists. Canopies will be supplied in case there is drizzle.
At least three CSWers will be driving their cars. If you plan to drive and have room for
passengers or if you need a ride, either come to the Jan. 6 meeting to sign up or contact us via the
website contact page or Facebook pages. Bring an umbrella, just in case. And a bag lunch if you
don't want to eat at any of the local eateries. There may be a group outing after-the-fact.
2. Alternate meeting site: Joyce Bippus, who has the Holistic Water Store on Mangrove
Ave. has offered to let us meet at her store for regular meetings or for showing films at no charge.
We are canvassing the group to find which weeknight is preferred.
3. Our efforts to have our table at the Saturday Farmers' Market every week have been slowed down
due to inclement weather and illness. We try to be a presence there from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon. We
always have some meaningful conversations and connections with people either completely lacking in
knowledge but interested, or up to speed and ready to help spread the word. Marla is able to bring the
materials but can't unload the car, do set up, and close up without some help. So if you are
inclined to lend a hand, please contact us.
• California for Natural Skies Event 2016.
Announcing a 2016 Event:
· California for Natural Skies
· Wednesday, January 13, 2016
· North Steps of the Capitol
· in Sacramento
· from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
From Lisa Thomas (
Sierra Nevada GeoEngineering Awareness) — We are lining up speakers
presently and there will be two vocalists who will be singing about ongoing GeoEngineering. There
will be a table where people can find an existing GeoEngineering awareness group and join forces, or
information will be available about how to get an organization going in your geographic area. We
will also be dividing into groups by district to visit our legislators to distribute information and
encourage sponsorship of an anti-GeoEngineering bill. IT HAS NEVER BEEN MORE IMPORTANT TO SHOW UP
THAN IT IS NOW. Our trees are dying, our state needs water, and our planet and children need YOU.
If you haven't joined and are not visiting our Facebook pages, and/or
if you are not on our e-mail list, you are missing out.
