The 34th Annual Endangered Species Faire

Saturday, May 4th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm   (support donations needed!)

Chico Sky Watch will have a booth at the 34th Annual Endangered Species Faire on Saturday, May 4th. Attendance is 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Cedar Grove in Bidwell Park on E. 8th St. near the Chico Creek Nature Center and Parkview Elementary School. (see map)

Setup is 8:00 am and break down is 4-6 pm. We are counting on you to help, so please contact us by replying to this notice. This is a great awareness opportunity because the faire gets a few thousand+ attendees. So this is basically a once-a-year opportunity to reach thousands of people and make them aware of our issues. How much time do we have left?

We have a beautiful new tri-fold brochure. Full color, front and back. See PDF file. You can print them out yourself. We need money to print these for the Faire and for handing out everywhere. (the ESF attendance is anywhere from a few thousand to several thousand people)

If everyone reading this could donate $20, that would be great. Even $10 would help a lot. Pretty much everyone should be able to donate at least $5. (if not money, then time?)

Your donations should pay for the brochure printing, and, depending on how many people donate, the cost of the ESF booth. It costs a minimum of $300 or so to put together a decent booth. The booth fee itself cost $45, which Marla paid for. Nina donated about $200 toward the brochures. We had less than $100 in our 'account'.

I will personally pick up donations of $20 or more. Call Bill , or to get a mailing address for cash, check, money order, etc. The faire is in less than two weeks, so time is of the essence.
